Radaris Opt Out Guide
Radaris collects and publishes a wide range of personal information, making it feel like your privacy is constantly at risk. Thankfully, you can remove your listing with a few straightforward DIY steps, which we’ll explain below. To skip the hassle and keep your data off Radaris long term, Vanish Me can manage removals for you across the web.
What is Radaris?
Radaris is a people search website and data broker founded in 2009 that compiles information from public records, property filings, social media, and other online sources. Based in Massachusetts, Radaris offers searchable profiles on individuals across the United States.
A typical Radaris profile may include names, addresses, phone numbers, relatives, employment history, property ownership, and links to online profiles. The site markets itself as a tool for reconnecting with people, verifying identities, or finding professional and social connections.
However, Radaris has drawn criticism for the sheer volume of personal information it makes publicly accessible without consent. Its business model relies on data aggregation, and users often express frustration about the difficulty of getting their information permanently removed. Like other data brokers, Radaris is not FCRA-compliant, which means its reports cannot legally be used for employment, tenant, or credit decisions. Because Radaris republishes sensitive data from many sources, individuals often choose to opt out in order to protect their privacy and reduce the risk of misuse.
How to Remove Your Information from Radaris (Step by Step)
Step 1: Go to the Radaris opt-out page. Since data removal sites like Raadaris are sneaky and don’t want you to remove your information, Radaris may change the opt out link occasionally. If you’re having trouble accessing the link, try going to the Radaris home page, scrolling down to the footer, and searching for the “Remove My Info” link.
Step 2: Next you’ll be asked to verify your age. Select “Yes” if you are over 18 years old.
Step 3: Find your profile page on Radaris. If you have your profile link already, then paste it into the bottom text box. If not, then search for your page and then click the blue button.
Step 4: Next, Radaris will show you several possible profiles. Identify the profile that matches your personal information the most, and click “Select”.
Step 5: Now you’re taken to a confirmation screen. Radaris will ask if you’d like to remove your profile. Click “Start Removing”.
Step 6: Now things can get a bit annoying in this next step. Radaris is going to take you through a series of screens, asking over and over for you to continue, after a waiting period. Remember: Data brokers don’t want you to remove your data. So providers like Radaris make this a hard/annoying process. For this step, simply click “continue” until you reach the screen asking for your email address.
Step 7: Finally, you should reach the page asking for your email address. This is your final form of verification. Add your email address and click “Submit”.
Step 8: Next, Radaris will attempt to verify your identity by sending you an email with a confirmation code. Click on the confirmation link within the email to complete the removal. Check the status of the removal using the tracking ID that they have provided. It can take a while to receive this email (it took 40 minutes for us).
Step 9: Next, you’ll receive their confirmation email. Within that email, there’ll be a link to confirm your removal request. Click on that link.
Step 10: Next, you’ll be redirected to a page to confirm your tracking ID and confirmation code (which should be pre-populated). Click “confirm”.
Step 11: Next, Radaris will ask you for your feedback. You can leave blank if you’d like, or fill out. Either way, fill out the recaptcha and click “submit”.
Step 12: Finally, the removal request is confirmed. Keep an eye out on your email for a final confirmation.
Step 13: Finally, you should receive a confirmation email from Radaris that the removal request was approved by the administrator. Here’s what that email will look like:
How Long Does Radaris Take to Remove Your Info?
Radaris often processes opt-out requests within a few business days, though in some cases it may take up to a week for the listing to fully disappear. Because Radaris frequently refreshes its records from public and third-party sources, your profile could reappear down the road. If you want lasting results without the hassle of repeating the process, Vanish Me can automatically handle Radaris removals and keep your data off their site.
